Garden Access Stairs
Keen Landscapes were engaged by the client to renew their old retaining wall spanning 24m and construct a set of Timber stairs leading from the top level of their backyard to the bottom.
We replaced the existing wall to suit the old style as requested by our client. The retaining wall was constructed using H4 treated spotted gum hardwood and finished with a dark coat to match the gate. The final result, a sturdy and aesthetically pleasing structure.
The garden stairs were constructed using H3 treated pine and Blackbutt hardwood for the surface. The existing rock was rearranged to retain the soil while also blending in with the surrounds and the stairs. A final coat of oil and a layer of mulch helps add the finishing touches. The result is a set of stairs that the kids can run on, saving the garden bed and adding functionality to backyard access.
